Specialist, Billing & invoicing

The role description below lists the primary responsibilities for Billing & Invoicing Specialist for the SMS Business Services team. 

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Billing & Invoicing Specialist is responsible for ensure customer billing and invoicing activities are performed in accordance with the customer contracts, applicable guidelines (including accounting guidelines), business practices and in the relevant systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure timely provisioning and update of the billing systems with updated customer and vendor price information
  • Validate business processes on a regular basis to ensure that the rating of the prices give the desired output
  • Ensure reconciliation of billing information
  • Provide billing information to the Financial accounting team on a timely basis to ensure accounting in the books of
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Ensure invoices are sent to customer per the financial calendar
  • Maintain and improve the processes for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting billing information
  • Work with the internal or external stakeholders to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE :

  • 3+ years work experience. Preference will be provided to candidates having billing/invoicing background;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must. Candidates with basic IT skills are preferred.
  • Strong depth and understanding of basic financial skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while focusing on execution challenges; structured problem solving skills;
  • Good communication skills (business writing) to interact with Global Sales, financial accounting teams and other stakeholders.

Position: 4 - Payroll Executive

Candidate should be hands on with following areas :

  • 1. Maintaining and updating employee records on the payroll system.
  • 2. Ensures accurate payment to employees by managing payroll preparation.
  • 3. Completing monthly Salary reports, comparison reports, on time as committed to clients.
  • 4. Manage statutory compliances for all client companies and co-ordinate the same with internal departments.
  • 5. Strictly adhere to all deadlines committed to clients.
  • 6. Ensuring relevant payroll information is provided to other internal departments (Eg. PF, PT,ESIC, TDS etc).
  • 7. Preparation of full and final settlements and ensure the same is checked.

Desired Skilled :

  • 1. Good communication skills.
  • 2. Must have good analytical and mathematical skills.
  • 3. Ability to work to deadlines.
  • 4. Having knowledge on Indian Payroll / Taxation.

Experience :

  • 1-2 years of payroll experience.
